Larga tradición vinatera.

En este bello y legendario pueblo de la comarca del Alt Empordà en Girona, se encuentra la Bodega Grup Oliveda. Un celler con una larga tradición vinatera, pues ya en el siglo XVIII producían vinos, aunque fuera tan sólo para el consumo familiar. La actual bodega fue fundada en 1948 por Don Josep Oliveda Casanova y su esposa Doña Joana Rigau Ros, dedicada a la elaboración y comercialización de vinos y cavas. Oliveda es una bodega de carácter familiar pero con una clara vocación empresarial, que durante todos estos años ha ido creciendo tanto en cantidad, como y principalmente en calidad. Cuenta con dos parcelas de viñedos propios, una de 60 hectáreas y otra de 40, con la variedades de Chardonnay, Xarel·lo, Perellada, Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon y Merlot.

Instalaciones.

Sus instalaciones están formadas por distintos edificios, dotados de las mas modernas tecnologías, pero sin hacer desaparecer los vestigios de su larga tradición bodeguera, pues aún conservan los viejos depósitos de cemento y los viejos lagares donde aún es perceptible la presencia, en forma de diminutos cristales, del tanino de los vinos. Lugares con encanto que en la actualidad se usan como botelleros. Oliveda presenta una amplia gama de vinos, cubriendo así casi toda la tipología existente; vinos rosados, blancos, tintos, jóvenes, de aguja, crianza, multivarietales y monovarietales, secos y dulces.

Trayectoria.

La bodega Oliveda se ubica en la comarca del Alt Empordà, en el municipio de Capmany. La empresa fue fundada en 1948 por Josep Oliveda Casanovas y su esposa Joana Rigau Ros y, desde entonces, se dedicaron a la elaboración y comercialización de vinos y cavas. En la bodega, en una de los dinteles de la entrada está grabado el año 1764, fecha en la que ya se dedicaban a la viticultura aunque sólo fuese para un consumo doméstico; hoy está al frente de la empresa Alfons Freixa Oliveda. Desde no hace más de una década la bodega Oliveda ha reestructurado el cultivo de sus viñedos ubicados entre los municipios de Vilamaniscle, Garriguella y Capmany. Para la elaboración de sus vinos bajo las denominaciones Empordà y Catalunya, la bodega Oliveda de Capmany cultiva las variedades autóctonas Garnacha y Samsó (Cariñena) y ha incorporado la Merlot, la Cabernet Sauvignon y la Chardonnay. Entre sus vinos tintos, uno de los más reconocido es el vino tinto Rigau Ros Crianza. El grupo Oliveda también elabora cava bajo el amparo de la DO Cava. Cavas Freixa Rigau es un homenaje a los apellidos de la familia. Las Cavas se sitúan en la misma localidad de Capmany y son unas de las más antiguas de la región. Para la elaboración de cavas han incorporado al coupage tradicional de Xarel·lo, Macabeo y Parellada, las foráneas Chardonnay y la Pinot Noir con el fin de innovar y seguir la corriente de las nuevas tendencias y gustos.
